She has written more than 30 books for all ages, and has won many awards, including the Children s Book Council Of Australia Book of the Year Award three times, the Victorian Premier s Literary Award , the Aurealis Award for Science Fiction, the IBBY Australia Ena Noel Encouragement Award, and the Davitt Award for Crime Fiction. Personal life Catherine was born in Brisbane, Queensland . She grew up in Papua New Guinea , where her father worked as a patrol officer. She went to high school in Sydney . In 2006, her alma mater, KCAHS Ku ring gai High School , named its library after her. From 1982 to 1986, Catherine studied at the University of Sydney , graduating with an honours degree in medieval history. She then worked on Westpac Banking Corporation s staff magazine for approximately seven years. In 1992 she married Peter Dockrill, a Canadian journalist in 1993 she and her husband left Australia for a brief spell in Nova Scotia , where she began to write full time. They returned to Australia in 1994, and Catherine gave birth to her daughter Hannah in 1997. Since 1998, she and her family have been living in Leura, New South Wales .     Jinks Coleman was the first head coach of the women s basketball team at Louisiana State University LSU from 1975 1979. Coleman led the Lady Tigers then the BenGals to a 91 32 record before resigning 15 games into the 1978 1979 season. Coleman coached both basketball and volleyball at LSU from 1973 until 1977, when she was released from her duties as volleyball coach finishing with a record of 75 22 and allowed to concentrate solely on basketball . Throughout her tenure, however, she was required to teach five physical education classes in addition to her coaching duties. She was succeeded as head volleyball coach by Gerry Owens . Coleman led the Lady Tigers to a 11 final Associated Press AP ranking in the 1976 1977 season and to a 10 final Associated Press AP ranking in the 1977 1978 season. Her teams went to three Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women AIAW Tournaments, won a state title in 1978, and earned a regional crown in 1977. In the 1977 Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women AIAW National Tournament in Minneapolis, Minnesota , Coleman s LSU team defeated Western Michigan University Western Michigan 91 53 , Baylor University Baylor 71 64 , and Immaculata University Immaculata College 74 68 , before falling to Margaret Wade s 1 ranked Delta State University Delta State team in the national championship game by a score of 68 55.     Unreferenced date March 2007 Neon Pearl was a 1960s British Psychedelic music psychedelic band consisting of Peter Dunton vocals guitar keyboards drums , Bernard Jinks bass guitar backing vocals and Nick Spenser guitar harmonium keyboards . In 1967, Neon Pearl released the album 1967 Recordings , which is a fine example of experimental British psychedelia with its hazy riffs, mild guitar distortions and vocal harmonies. Dunton was also in the marginally less obscure British psychedelic bands the Flies and Please, while Jinks later played in Bulldog Breed and T2 band T2 , the latter also including Dunton.
