About the size of a bus, the module was canceled after its pressurized hull was complete. If named and sent into space, the Habitation Module would have been berthed to Tranquility ISS module Node 3 , or Tranquility . In order to accommodate more than three people on the ISS, a lifeboat craft other than a single Soyuz spacecraft Soyuz TMA would be needed and such a Crew Return Vehicle was not there at that time. Later in the project, budget constraints and delays to the space station due to the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster caused it to be definitively canceled. On 14 February 2006 it was decided to recycle the Habitation Module for ground based Life Support Research for future missions. With the cancellation of the Habitation Module, sleeping places are now spread throughout the station. There are two in the Russian segment and four in the US segment. The Dallol Bosso is one of two major seasonal river valleys in southwest Niger . The Dallol Bosso valley runs from the Azaouad area in the Sahara west and south through the Dosso Region where it reaches the Niger River valley. Human habitation Dallol is the Djerma language equivalent of the Arabic Wadi or the Hausa language Hausa Kori an ancient river valley which carries surface water in the rainy season, but maintains subsurface water at other times, making it a magnet for human habitation. It has historically been a center of the Djerma people of Niger. Its sections are known by a number of local names, including Dallol Boboy near its mouth and Dallol Azawak in its northern sections. Course The valley spreads out as the Azaouad depression on the western shadow of the Air Mountains , contracting and feeding a handful of valleys which once carried ancient tributaries of the Niger.
