It was Hiram Powers last full length sculpture. Biography Tribes of Neurot is a side project of Neurosis band Neurosis that consists of all the members of Neurosis along with additional musicians. The music explores many of the same themes that Neurosis does but from a radically different angle. A Gathering of the Tribes was a two day music festival organized by The Cult s Ian Astbury with Bill Graham promoter at the head of Bill Graham Productions. This two day music and culture festival was a precursor to the Lollapalooza touring festivals of the 1990s. Held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre Mountain View, California Mountain View and the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, California Costa Mesa on October 6 and 7th 1990, the artists featured were Soundgarden , Ice T , Indigo Girls , Queen Latifah , Joan Baez, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop , The Charlatans UK band The Charlatans UK , The Cramps , The Mission U.k. and Public Enemy band Public Enemy . The Tribes and the States is a book written by American child prodigy William James Sidis that outlines the history of the Native Americans in the United States Native American s, focusing mostly on the Northeastern tribes and continuing up to the mid 19th century. It was written around 1935 but was never published for lack of completion at the time of Sidis death. Sidis wrote the history under the pseudonym John W. Shattuck. Much of the history was taken from wampum belts Sidis explained, The weaving of wampum belts is a sort of writing by means of belts of colored beads, in which the various designs of beads denoted different ideas according to a definitely accepted system, which could be read by anyone acquainted with wampum language, irrespective of what the spoken language is.
