Notability date March 2010 Lion Vs. Lion , also known as Roar Of The Lion and Nan bei shi wang , is a Shaw Brothers film written and directed by Hsu Hsia and Chien Yuen Sheng. It is known for its excellent North vs. South lion dance. Lo Meng also gets a chance to display his mantis fist style. Hsu and Chien were two veteran martial art stuntmen of the Hong Kong and Taiwanese circuits. Both men would most likely be recognized in the west for their cameo or secondary roles. Each collaborated with the most elite of kung fu directors and choreographers in the industry. Hsu Hsia is most recognized for his collaboration with Yuen Wo Ping s Drunken Master starring Jackie Chan. He played a character known as the King of Sticks. Chien Yuen Sheng may best be identified as a character called the Sleeping Sword in John Woo s Last Hurrah For Chivalry, however, he does play a role in Lion Vs. Foaled 1974 Sex mare horse Mare Color Bay color Bay Breed Irish Horse Irish Sport Horse Breeding by Ideal Water by Water Serpent , out of Lady Luck by Laughton RID Breeder Patricia Nicholson of Kells, County Meath Kells , County Meath Co.Meath , Ireland Patricia Nicholson first bought Lady Luck, a lovely mare by the Irish Draught Stallion horse stallion Laughton, from a nearby farm. The mare was about to be sold to the factory, because she was apparently unable to breed any longer, and Nicholson was able to buy both her and another mare for a cheap 40. Impressed by the records of the get of Water Serpent, especially in the show jumping arena, Nicholson decided to breed her new mare to one of the stallion s sons, Ideal Water. The result was the filly Stream Lion. Stream Lion was ridden by Nicholson s daughter before being handed off to Peter Charles as a show jumping show jumper .
