As the name suggests Teller is the German word for dish or plate the mines were plate shaped. Containing little more than 5.5 kilograms of trinitrotoluene TNT and a detonation pressure of roughly 200 pounds, the Teller mine was capable of blasting the tracks off of any World War II era tank or destroying a lightly armored vehicle. Because of its rather high operating pressure, only a vehicle or heavy object passing over the Teller mine would set it off. Teller mines had two additional fuze wells on the side and underneath to enable anti handling device s to be attached. Teller Ammons December 3, 1895, Denver, Colorado January 16, 1972, Denver was the List of Governors of Colorado 28th Governor of Colorado Governor of Colorado from 1937 to 1939. Ammons was the son of Colorado Governor Elias M. Ammons , and was named for his father s friend, U.S. Senator Henry Moore Teller . He served in the United States Army in France during World War I , and then returned to Colorado to work on a ranch and in a newspaper office. He earned a law degree from the University of Denver s Westminster Law School in 1929. Ammons was elected to the Colorado Senate in 1930 and served until 1935, when Denver Mayor Benjamin F. Stapleton appointed him as Denver city attorney. He was elected governor in 1936. After one two year term, he was defeated for reelection in 1938 by Ralph L. Carr . Orphan date February 2009 Leopold Teller April 3, 1844, Budapest 1908 was a Hungary Hungarian actor. For a time he studied medicine at the University of Vienna , but in 1862 he went to Ljubljana , where he joined a theatrical company. During the following ten years he played at small theaters in Jihlava , Klagenfurt , Opava , Budapest, Leipzig , and Liebenstein and from 1874 to 1890 he was a member of the Meininger , and appeared in such roles as Shylock, Iago , Gessler , Franz Moor , and Marinelli . On leaving the Meininger he secured an engagement at the Stadttheater in Hamburg , where his principal roles were Graf Trast , Doctor Crusius , and Graf Menges . In 1899 he retired from the stage, and settled as teacher of elocution in Hamburg. He has written a play entitled Wintersonnenwende , which has met with considerable success.
