In a SummerGarden is a fantasia music fantasy for orchestra composed in 1908 by Frederick Delius it was first performed in London under the composer s Baton conducting baton on December 11 of that year. The piece is built around several distinct themes. The first appears in the woodwinds and strings the second is presented by the English horn , while the third is scored for viola s against figures and chords in the woodwinds and lower strings. This is worked out vigorously before the piece is concluded by a new theme, first from the violins and repeated by the woodwinds. The published score of the fantasy contains two quotations which provide some clue as to its emotional content. The first is a couplet by Dante Gabriel Rossetti All are my blooms and all sweet blooms of love. To thee I gave while Spring and Summer sang. The origin of the second quote is unknown. It reads blockquote Roses, lilies, and a thousand scented flowers. Bright butterflies, flitting from petal to petal. Beneath the shade of ancient trees, a quiet river with water lilies. In a boat, almost hidden, two people. A thrush is singing in the distance. blockquote Peter Warlock Philip Heseltine has made a piano solo transcription in 1921, published only in 1982. Orphan date July 2010 Unreferenced date July 2010 Nathan s Garden is a botanical garden located at the intersection of Maple Street and Downing Road in Hanover, New Hampshire . This small garden tucked away in a small valley, was created by the Hall family in memory of their son, Nathan. In 1991, Nathan was killed during a swim in a quarry not far from his tributary garden, at the age of 20 years old. After their son s death the Hall family decided to use a portion of their backyard to build a relaxing park for neighbors and others to enjoy. The garden, though small in square footage, is beautifully landscaped with flowers and a variety of plant types. It is equipped with a small pond from which to make a wish and even lily pads. Hidden halfway up a hill in the garden is a gazebo large enough to comfortably seat five underneath the hanging wind chimes. A journal was placed in that gazebo and many of the visitors throughout the years have left a note, for others to enjoy. The guardians of the garden provide suntan lotion and bug spray during the summer months to encourage visitors to stop by. coord 43.700146 72.297992 type landmark globe earth region US NH display title Category Protected areas of Grafton County, New Hampshire Category Hanover, New Hampshire Category Gardens in New Hampshire NewHampshire geo stub US garden stub ... more details

Many of these would be attached to their main palaces. Earlier versions would be constructed of masonry with large windows and a glass roof, usually in the Classical architecture Classical or Gothic architecture Gothic styles ref Hix, John. Winter gardens were not just restricted to private residence, many were built for the greater public. The first large public winter garden was built in 1842 46 in Regent s Park in London and was used for evening occasions, large flower shows and social gatherings ref Kohlmaier, Georg.
