Unreferenced stub date December 2009 A Stab In The Dark was a United Kingdom British television programme of topical monologue s and discussion screened on Channel 4 in 1992. It was hosted by comedian David Baddiel , journalist , future Conservative Party UK Conservative member of parliament MP and schools secretary Michael Gove and critic and television presenter Tracey MacLeod . The monologues, often containing very dark humour, were delivered straight to camera by each host in turn before a small studio audience on a stark set with numerous staircase s. Sometimes relevant guests were invited on to further or contradict a point, including Conservative MPs Jerry Hayes and Alan Clark . One of the more memorable routines was Baddiel s contention, in opposition to contemporary feminist orthodoxy, that the word cunt should be reclaimed as a term of abuse, and no longer be used to refer to female genitalia. His task was made harder by the fact that the producers would not allow him to say the word itself. Viewing figures were not encouraging and the show ran for a single season. The Panzer Stabmine 43 was a Germany German anti tank mine , together with the Hohl Sprung mine 4672 it was the first mine to combine a shaped charge warhead with a tilt rod fuze . The mine was developed during the Second World War . The mine consisted of a wine glass shaped metal main body mounted on a wooden post, with a tilt rod holding arm projecting to one side. It used a 125 mm diameter warhead with 1.6 kg of explosive, and a combination pressure tilt fuze. At a stand off distance of about half a meter the main charge could penetrate up to 100 millimeter of armour. Testing conducted by the German army indicated that the mine stood a 65 to 68 percent chance of knocking out a tank.
