It replaced the earlier urban and European Megalithic Culture Megalithic existing in that same region in the Chalcolithic age. It is characterized by individual burials in cist , in which the deceased is accompanied by a knife of bronze. Much more rare but also more impressive are the grabsystem tombs, made up of three adjacent stone enclosures, of quasi circular form, each one with an opening. They are covered by Tumulus tumuli and are possibly the burials of the main leaders of these peoples. Phases Horizon of Ferradeira c. 1900 1500 BCE still mostly Chalcolithic but already with individual burials. Influenced by the culture of Vila Nova de S o Pedro . Horizon of Atalaia c. 1500 1100 BCE that introduces the grabsystem tombs, being contemporary of El Argar B but continuing after its end. It is in this phase when the culture extends to Extremadura and Western Andalusia . Horizon of Santa Vitoria c. 1100 700 BCE that reaches the early Iron Age . The Buffalo and SouthWestern Railroad was a predecessor of the Erie Railroad that ran 89 miles between Jamestown, NY and Buffalo, NY . History The Buffalo and Jamestown Railroad was incorporated on March 23, 1872 to build a line between Buffalo and Jamestown. The road was opened in sections and was completed in July 1875. The line was never financially successful and Buffalo and Jamestown Railroad was sold on December 12, 1877 to the Buffalo and SouthWestern Railroad. The Buffalo and SouthWestern Railroad was short lived and was leased by the New York, Lake Erie and Western Railroad on August 1, 1880 for an annual rental of 35 percent of the gross earnings for the line. On November 19, 1895 the Erie officially merged the Buffalo and SouthWestern by virtue of owning 100 percent of the B&SW stock. Current status Much of the line operated by the Buffalo and SouthWestern Railroad still sees use. The Buffalo Southern Railroad operates the portion from Buffalo to the Erie County line at Gowanda and the New York and Lake Erie Railroad operates the line south from Gowanda to South Dayton, including an excursion train that runs in the summer. Unreferenced date December 2009 SouthWestern Scania Lang sv Sydv stra Sk ne , or more seldom Greater Malm Stor Malm or Metropolitan Malm , is the metropolitan area surrounding the cities of Malm and Lund in the southern most part of Sweden . It constitutes the south eastern part of the Scandinavia n resund Region . Contrary to the concept of SouthWestern Scania , there is no common understanding of what is to be included and excluded in Metropolitan Malm . The cities of Ystad and Helsingborg would typically be understood to be parts of the same metropolitan area as the cities of Malm and Lund, and so understood the metropolitan area is of roughly the same size as Metropolitan Gothenburg , but clearly smaller than Metropolitan Copenhagen or Metropolitan Stockholm . On the other hand, SouthWestern Scania is a more limited concept with an identity of its own.
