File Slavs west territory Limes Sorabicus.jpg thumb The limes Sorabicus represented by a red line The Sorb ian March lang la limes Sorabicus lang de Sorbenmark was a Marches frontier district on the eastern border of East Francia in the 9th through 11th centuries. It was composed of several counties bordering the Sorbs . The Sorbian march seems to have comprised the eastern part of Thuringia . The Sorbian march was sometimes referred to as the Thuringian March . The term Sorbian march appears only four times in the Annales Fuldenses and only three rulers are recorded Poppo, Duke of Thuringia Poppo , Thachulf, Duke of Thuringia Thachulf , and Radulf II, Duke of Thuringia Radulf . The commanders of the Sorbian march bore the title dux Sorabici limitis in the Annales , but are also referred to elsewhere as counts comites , margrave s marchiones , and Rulers of Thuringia dukes of Thuringia duces Thuringorum . The march was probably ruled primarily by the House of Babenberg Babenberg family. The boundary between Thuringia and the Sorbs was defined as the Saale river by Einhard , writing in the 830s lang la Salam fluvium, qui Thuringos et Sorabos dividit the river Saale, which divides the Thuringii and the Sorbs . Erfurt was the chief economic centre of eastern Thuringia at the time. The Sorbian march probably loosely included the land east of the Saale as far as the Wei e Elster Elster and the Pleisse , which might have been controlled by castles . Whether the Sorbian march itself was only the area west of the Saale, east of it, ref Leyser, 11. ref or on both sides is impossible to tell. The Sorbian march was frequently troubled in the 9th century by insurrection on the part of the Slavs , who were tributaries of the Germans. In the 10th century, however, the march formed part of the vast marca Geronis from 937 until 965. ref Thompson, 487. ref During this period, the Sorbs were reduced to serf dom and the march largely pacified. After 965, it formed a part of the March ... more details

merge A posteriori languages date April 2011 This is the article about constructed languages. For other uses of the term a priori, see a priori . An a priori language is any constructed language whose vocabulary is not based on existing languages, unlike a posteriori languages a posteriori constructed languages. Examples of a priori languages include Ro language Ro , Solresol , Mirad , Klingon language Klingon , and Na vi language Na vi . By contrast, a posteriori languages are ones whose vocabulary is based on existing languages, either as a variation of one language e.g., Latino sine flexione or as a mixture of various languages. Some a priori languages are designed to be international auxiliary language s that remove what could be considered an unfair learning advantage for native speakers of a source language that would otherwise exist for a posteriori languages. Some a priori languages try to categorize their vocabulary, either to express an underlying philosophy or to make it easier to recognize new vocabulary. These are also known as philosophical language philosophical or taxonomic languages . References Alan Libert, A Priori Artificial LanguagesLanguages of the World 24. Munich Lincom Europa, 2000 .
