SHARK has a 64 bit block size cryptography block size and a 128 bit key size . It is a six round Substitution permutation network SP network which alternates a key cryptography key mixing stage with linear and non linear transformation layers. The linear transformation uses an MDS matrix representing a Reed Solomon error correcting code in order to guarantee good confusion and diffusion diffusion . The nonlinear layer is composed of eight 8 8 bit S box es based on the function F x x sup 1 sup over GF 2 sup 8 sup . SharkShark is an Intellivision game originally designed by Don Daglow , and with additional design and programming by Ji Wen Tsao, one of the first female game programmers in the history of video games. The player is a fish who must eat smaller fish in order to gain points and extra lives while avoiding enemies such as larger fish, sharks, jellyfish, lobsters and crabs. After eating a certain number of fish, the player s fish grows in size and is thus able to eat a larger selection of fish. However, while the larger fish becomes a bit faster, he is less agile than the small fish and has a harder time avoiding enemies. As the game player continues to amass points by eating smaller fish, or killing the shark with multiple bites to his tail, the shark becomes increasingly faster, and eventually, invulnerable jellyfish are added to the mix which makes the game considerably more difficult. At 100,000 points, the shark becomes super fast, and even the best players fish die at alarming rates, often finding themselves slamming headlong into jellyfish or larger fish in their mad flight away from the deadly shark. SharkShark was originally considered by Mattel to be a cute game for kids and unlikely to make strong inroads into the gaming community. However, the market caught Mattel unprepared when it fully embraced the game as a sorely ... another batch of cartridges. The original cartridge run was only 5,600 units. Ports SharkShark ... A shark suit is a body cover suit made of chainmail worn sometimes by scuba diving scuba divers to protect against shark bite. While the wearer will feel the full pressure of the bite, the suit prevents any concentration of force from the shark s teeth and effectively prevents any true damage to the wearer s tissue other than bruising. A standard shark suit cannot be guaranteed against a great white shark bite which is so powerful that an especially heavy suit must be worn. Development In the late 1970s, marine biologist Jeremiah Sullivan developed a flexible suit of armor for divers to wear while working around sharks. Often referred to as Metal Mesh Shark Suit, Chain Mail Anti Shark Suit, Steel Mesh Shark Suit, etc. Its actual name is the NEPTUNIC Sharksuit. The technology Sullivan developed and continues to advance is now known and used throughout the world. Construction A typical shark suit is constructed of extremely tightly woven steel or titanium rings covering a standard neoprene wetsuit . A shark bite will not be able to penetrate the rings, because the jaws will be shutting too slowly and the shark s muscles will not be able to cut the metal. Similar to chainmail, divers wearing sharksuits can suffer from broken bones from the sheer force of a shark chomping down on a limb.
