Following his father, Kuncoro, as Sandyawan was called during his childhood, was raised in different places, from Ujung Pandang Provincial capital of South Sulawesi, now called Makassar to Banjarnegara where he finished the elementary school , to Bantul and Magelang where he entered the seminary school of his own choice , and then, finally, he entered the seminary school in Yogyakarta city Yogyakarta . Since a very early age and especially during his period of study, Sandyawan developed an aspiration and life mission to help the poor and others who were less fortunate. The school was established in December 1995. History Juying Secondary School was formed in December 1995 with Mrs Lee Yin Ling being appointed as its first principal. The school started with 10 classes of Secondary One pupils which were housed on the 4th level of Pioneer Secondary School, our holding school, for six months while the former Jurong Institute was being retrofitted to become Juying s permanent premises. Today, the school has a total enrolment of 1107 pupils in 27 classes covering Secondary 1 to Secondary 5.
