In 1995, Rocky Mountain Radar moved its research and marketing departments to El Paso, Texas. Soon after Rocky Mountain Radar consolidated its operations and expanded into a 5,000 sq.ft. Texas facility. The Spirit II was the subject of FCC scrutiny in the late 1990s and declared illegal. Around this time the Phazer was highly marketed and became what was probably the company s most popular product. Following this Rocky Mountain Radar began marketing radar detectors made in Korea by Attowave under their brand. They then released models such as the Phantom II, Phazer II, RMR C302, Black Widow remote system and others. The C450 also was made illegal by the FCC and no longer available. Most recently they have marketed the Phantom T made for the professional driver, the Moto Raptor the first radar detector made exclusively for motor cycle, the C435, the RMR C475 which incorporates a text display. They have also introduced KAT models which do away with the radar scrambler portion. They also sell the Kat Matrix a cordless Accelerometer.
