Unreferenced date December 2009 Dunbar, Georgia is an unincorporated community located in Houston County, Georgia . It is located in the extreme northwestern corner of Houston County, one mile east of US Highway 41 at the intersection of Dunbar Road and Houston Lake Road. It is part of the Warner Robins, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area . History The community of Dunbar dates back to at least 1915, as it appeared on official Georgia maps. The community is named for the Dunbar family, who once owned much of the surrounding land. Dunbar has never been an incorporated city and is not recognized as a community on most maps. However, there are signs that designate the area as Dunbar Community. Business and Industry Dunbar is home to a Holiday Food Store, which is the only business in Dunbar. The Holiday Food Store, simply known as The Corner Store , sells gasoline and groceries. The Crossroads Trading Post, which is now defunct, is located across from the Holiday Food Store. It has been closed for over 10 years, but the building is still there and is merely used for storage by the former owners. The primary industry in Dunbar is agriculture. TOCright Dunbar Loop is one of the major transit exchanges in the western side of Vancouver . Part of the TransLink British Columbia TransLink system, it is the westernmost exchange in the city of Vancouver. Blanca Loop is further west and is accessible only from Vancouver, but it is in the University Endowment Lands . Dunbar Loop can accommodate both diesel and Trolleybus trolley buses it acts as a power station for trolleys. Structure and location Dunbar Loop is located at and near the intersection of Dunbar Street and 41st Avenue in the Dunbar Southlands neighbourhood of Vancouver. Part of the exchange is on street, while the rest is located at the southwest corner of the intersection, separated from regular traffic. Because of its proximity to the University of British Columbia UBC and the University Endowment Lands, it is heavily used by students. Jim Dunbar born 1929 in Dearborn, Michigan is an People of United States American radio program director, talk radio talk show host and news anchor who helped boost the ratings of KGO AM into to the top five Citation needed date March 2009 with its unique news talk format. KGO consistently scored in the top five after 1963 and was 1 for a period of time after 1978, extending to about 2009. In addition to his radio work, he also hosted the popular A.M. San Francisco program on KGO TV Channel 7 for many years beginning in 1965.
