It was released on Volcano Records in 1999. While not known as one of his most impressive albums via sales, it does attempt some unconventional tracking. Sweet combines three bass guitar lines on the song Thunderstorm , and other selections, such as If Time Permits , hint of sound song reversal as implied in the album s title http www.popmatters.com music reviews s sweetmatthew in.shtml . Effectively, Sweet attempts to reverse subtle would be conventional pop riffs and solos to make them sound like they are being played backwards. 1. Reverse cascade

Unreferenced auto yes date December 2009 Image 3 ball reverse cascade movie.gif right frame An illustration of the three ball reverse cascade. The reverse cascade is a juggling pattern in which the props follow the same path as the cascade juggling cascade , but with time going backwards, hence the reverse . The pattern is performed with an odd number of props. As in the cascade, props are thrown from alternating hands and each prop is caught in the opposite hand from which it was thrown. The key difference between a regular cascade and the reverse cascade from a juggler s point of view is that one throws each object over rather than under the others. While in a cascade objects are caught on the outside of the pattern on the far left and right and thrown from closer to the middle of the pattern, causing each ball to pass under the ball previously thrown, in a reverse cascade objects are caught near the middle of the pattern and thrown from the outside, causing each ball to pass above the ball previously thrown. Thus from the juggler s perspective the left hand moves in a clockwise motion, and the right hand in a counterclockwise motion. The reverse cascade is generally considered to be more difficult to perform than the cascade. 1. Reverse telnet

Unreferenced date December 2009 Reverse telnet is a specialized application of telnet , where the server side of the connection reads and writes data to a TTY line RS 232 serial port , rather than providing a command shell to the host device. Typically, reverse telnet is implemented on an embedded device e.g. terminal console server , which has an Ethernet network interface and serial port s . Through the use of reverse telnet on such a device, IP networked users can use telnet to access serially connected devices. In the past, reverse telnet was typically used to connect to modem s or other external asynchronous devices. Today, reverse telnet is used mostly for connecting to the console port of a router, switch or other device. Example On the client, the command line for initiating a reverse telnet connection might look like this telnet 172.16.1.254 2002 The syntax in the above example would be valid for the command line telnet client packaged with many operating systems, including most Unixes, or available as an option or add on. In this example, 172.16.1.254 is the IP address of the console device, and 2002 is the TCP port associated with a TTY line on the server. In a traditional blog a blogger will write his or her comments about a given topic and other users may view and sometimes comment on the bloggers work. A reverse blog is written entirely by the users, who are given a topic. Overview A reverse blog is characterized primarily by the lack of a blogger on a site providing blog style content. 1. Reverse connection

Unreferenced date July 2007 A reverse connection is usually used to bypass Firewall computing firewall restrictions on open port s. A firewall usually blocks open ports, but does not block outgoing Internet traffic traffic . In a normal forward connection, a Client computing client connects to a Server computing server through the server s open port , but in the case of a reverse connection, the client opens the port that the server connects to. The most common way a reverse connection is used is to bypass Firewall computing firewall and router computing Router security restrictions. For example, a Trojan horse running on a computer behind a firewall that blocks incoming connections can easily open an outbound connection to a remote host on the Internet. Once the connection is established, the remote host can send commands to the Trojan horse. Trojan horses Remote Administration Tool s that use a reverse connection usually send SYN TCP packets to the attacker s IP address . The attacker listens for these SYN packets and accepts the desired connections. If a computer is sending SYN packets or is connected to an attacker s PC, the connections can be discovered by using the netstat command or a common port listener like Active Ports . If the Internet connection is closed down and an application still tries to connect to remote hosts it may be infected with malware. Keylogger s and other malicious programs are harder to detect once installed, because they connect only once per session. Note that SYN packets by themselves are not necessarily a cause for alarm, as they are a standard part of all TCP connections. There are legitimate uses for using reverse connections, for example ... public IP addresses, and so must either have ports forwarded at the firewall, or open reverse connections to a central administration server.
