He also represented the Sydney Church of England Grammar School first XI in cricket. Administrative career In 1970, Radford joined the New South Wales Cricket Association as Assistant Secretary. He was at the same time Assistant Secretary of the Cricket Australia Australian Cricket Board of Control . In 1976, he became Secretary an executive position of the NSWCA. He served in this role for almost twenty years. In 1993, Radford was appointed chair of the Donald Bradman Bradman Foundation, a role he served in until 1997. He died just months after his 60th birthday. Greg Chappell , who is a Veganism vegan , had a bet with him that if Radford lasted until 60, Chappell would eat a steak .
