The duo has provided soundtrack s to a variety of TV programmes and films, and is known for its rescoring of silent films. Career Twin brothers Klive and Nigel Humberstone and guitar player Anthony Bennett formed this Sheffield, England based band in 1981. The trio originally tagged along with the UK s industrial music scene, releasing the six track When Cherished Dreams Come True in June 1983. The Witness To A Scream single and Sonority EP followed before the band moved to the Sweatbox label for the fearsome Temper EP. The full length Twins was recorded without the departed Bennett at Bradford s Flexible Response Studio . The album adopted a more subtle approach by favouring theatrical atmospherics over industrial clatter. Multi lingual vocalist Dolores Marguerite C made her debut on the Trinity EP adding French language French narration to Elegy . Dolores and military styled percussionist Q were added to the line up on the subsequent Stormhorse , the soundtrack to an imaginary film that provided the cinematic blueprint for all their future recordings. 1. Nursery (room)

Unreferenced date June 2008 File Baby nursery room.jpg thumb right Nursery A nursery is usually, in United States American connotations, a bedroom within a house or other dwelling set aside for an infant or toddler . A typical nursery would contain a infant bed crib or similar type of bed , a table or platform for the purpose of changing diaper s also known as a changing table , as well as various items required for the care of the child such as baby powder and medicine . A nursery is generally designated for the smallest bedroom in the house, as a baby requires very little space until at least walking age the premise being that the room is used almost exclusively for sleep. However, the room in many cases could remain the bedroom of the child well into his or her teenage years, or until a younger sibling is born, and the parents decide to move the older child into another larger bedroom, if one should be available. In Victorian era Victorian and Edwardian times, for the wealthy and mid tier classes, a nursery was a suite of rooms at the top of a house, including the night nursery, where the children slept, and a day nursery, where they ate and played, or a combination thereof. The nursery suite would include some bathroom facilities and possibly a small kitchen. The nanny nurse nanny and nursemaid assistant slept in the suite too, to be within earshot of the sleeping children. The schoolroom might also be adjacent, but the governess , whose job it was to teach the children, would not be part of the nursery she would have her own bedroom, possibly in another wing. Fictional portrayals of nurseries abound, for example in the writings of Kipling and E. Nesbit perhaps the most famous nursery is that in Mary Poppins , or the nursery in J.M. Barrie s Peter Pan . 1. Nursery habitats

Orphan date November 2006 In marine environments, a nursery Habitat ecology habitat is a subset of all habitats where juveniles of a species occur, having a greater level of productivity per unit area than other juvenile habitats Beck et al. 2001 . Mangroves, salt marshes and seagrass are typical nursery habitats for a range of marine species. Some species will use nonvegetated sites, such as Yellow Eyed Mullet, Blue Sprat and Flounder. Overview The nursery habitat hypothesis states that the contribution per unit area of a nursery habitat is greater than for other habitats used by juveniles for the species. Productivity may be measured by density, survival, growth and movement to adult habitat Beck et al. 2001 . There are two general models for the location of juvenile habitats within the total range for a species which reflect life history strategies of the species. The nursery had been founded in 1720 by Christoph Sp th but removed to the erstwhile district of Baumschulenweg now part of the Treptow K penick district in south east Berlin in 1863, when Franz Ludwig Sp th 1839 1913 , better known outside Germany as Louis Sp th, became manager. By the end of the 19th century, the nursery was the largest in the world, occupying 120 hectare s. In 1874 Louis built a mansion on the site, now part of Humboldt University and, five years later, established an arboretum . 1. Nursery Suite

The Nursery Suite is one of the last compositions by Edward Elgar Sir Edward Elgar 1857 1934 . Like Elgar s Wand of Youth Suites it makes use of sketches from the composer s childhood. There are seven movements and a coda 1. Aubade Awake 2. The Serious Doll 3. Busy ness 4. The Sad Doll 5. The Wagon Passes 6. The Merry Doll 7. Dreaming Envoy Coda The composition of The Nursery Suite came about when Elgar mentioned in September 1930 to HMV the Gramophone Company that he had lately run across a box of musical sketches from the days of his youth. HMV suggested that as Master of the Queen s Music Master of the King s Musick he might suitably draw on them for a work to mark the recent birth of Princess Margaret Princess Margaret Rose then fourth in line to the throne . The suite was dedicated to Princess Margaret, her older sister Princess Elizabeth the future Queen Elizabeth II and their mother the Elizabeth Bowes Lyon Duchess of York . Most of the movements appear light, in the style of The Wand of Youth suites, and predominantly sunny in character. Some commentators have made an exception of The Wagon Passes the Elgar authority Michael Kennedy music critic Michael Kennedy suggests that as the wagon rumbles towards us the music takes on a sinister quality like that of the moment in the Scherzo of the Symphony No. 2 Elgar Second Symphony , when the wheels go over my head . Anthony Payne drew on the form of this movement for the ending of his elaboration of the Symphony No. 3 Elgar Third Symphony sketches. The Nursery Suite was one of the first pieces of orchestral music to receive its premi re in a recording studio Kingsway Hall , London rather than a concert hall. Some retail and wholesale nurseries sell by mail order mail . Some nurseries specialize in one phase of the process propagation, growing out, or retail sale or in one type of plant e.g., groundcover s, shade plants, fruit trees, or rock garden plants. Methods Image Orchid plants.jpg thumb left An Orchid nursery File Treenursery using gutters.jpg thumb left A tree nursery using gutters to decrease growing costs Nurseries often grow plants in a greenhouse , a building of glass or in plastic tunnels, designed to protect young plants from harsh weather especially frost , while allowing access to light and ventilation. Modern greenhouses allow automated control of temperature, ventilation and light and semi automated watering and feeding. Some also have fold back roofs to allow hardening off of plants without the need for manual transfer to outdoor beds. Most nurseries remain highly labor intensive. Although some processes have been mechanised and automated, others have not. It remains highly unlikely that all plants treated in the same way at the same time will arrive at the same condition together, so plant care requires observation, judgment and manual dexterity selection for sale requires comparison and judgment.
