    Unreferenced date August 2007 The Melville is a skyscraper located at 1189 Mellvile Street in Downtown Vancouver Downtown Vancouver s Coal Harbour neighbourhood. The tower stands at 122 m, or 42 storeys tall, to the top of the main roof, a reported 141 m to the top of the glass sail , and has 232 suites. The building was built in 2007 and is the sixth tallest building in the city. The Melville is the tallest fully residential building in western Canada. There is also a smaller building as part of the complex, which serves as a hotel. The hotel is under the Loden brand, a boutique hotel chain. He was made Baron Dunira , in the County of Perth, at the same time, also in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. Dundas, who was the fourth son of Robert Dundas, of Arniston, the elder , declined an earldom in 1809. He was succeeded by his son, the second Viscount, who was also a noted politician.     Unreferenced date January 2008 John Ward Melville January 5, 1887 June 5, 1977 was an United States American philanthropist , and businessman, born to Frank Melville, Jr. Ward Melville attended college at Columbia University , where he was active in the Columbia Daily Spectator and the Philolexian Society . Following graduation in 1909, Melville joined his father s shoe company and married Dorothy Bigelow. Upon the United States entrance in World War I , Melville became a soldier of the US Army. After the war, Melville continued to work in his father s company Melville Corporation , eventually taking control of it in 1922, when he created the Thom McAn shoe line. He would also serve as a member of the school board in Setauket, New York , a town on Long Island , where he donated the land for the high school which was named after him. From 1948 to 1949 he was the 66th President of the Saint Andrew s Society of the State of New York. Melville was very active in many philanthropic works around the Three Village Central School District three village area Stony Brook, New York Stony Brook , Setauket, New York Setauket , Old Field, New York Old Field and the surrounding towns. These ranged from restoring old buildings, to natural conservation to supporting education. Among these works was the donation of land that would be used for the site of the State University of New York at Stony Brook . Later, he would be made Chairman of the Council of that university by Governor Averill Harriman . Melville died in 1977 and is buried in Setauket at the Caroline Church and Cemetery .     Ronald Melville 1903 1985 was an English botanist , based at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew . He is chiefly remembered for his wartime research into Rose hip rosehips as a source of vitamin C, prompted by the epidemic of scurvy amongst children owing to the reduced importation of fresh fruit. His research concluded that hips from the common Dog Rose Rosa canina held the highest concentration of the vitamin.
