It is situated on the Schwechat River, in the Wienerwald Vienna woods , 15 miles 24 km southwest of Vienna . From 1550, it was in the possession of the abbey of Heiligenkreuz Abbey Heiligenkreuz . The Mayerling Incident main Mayerling Incident In 1886 Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria , only son of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria and Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria and heir to the Austria Hungary Austro Hungarian crown, acquired the manor and transformed it into a hunting lodge. It was in this hunting lodge that, on January 30, 1889, he was found dead with his mistress Baroness Mary Vetsera , apparently as a result of suicide . Exactly what happened is clouded in mystery. After the deaths of Prince Rudolf and Baroness Vetsera, the Emperor Franz Joseph, who wanted to found a new church, had the building turned into a convent which was settled by nuns of the Discalced Carmelites Discalced Carmelite Order . Visitors should view the statue of the Madonna in the Lady Chapel of the church. It has the face of the Empress Elisabeth and has a dagger in the Immaculate Heart.     David Drew Order of the British Empire MBE , is an English ballet dancer and Principal Character Artist of the Royal Ballet Biography Drew was born in London. He received his early training in dance at the Westbury School of Dancing in Bristol , before entering professional ballet training at the Royal Ballet School . He has been a dancer with the Royal Ballet for the entire duration of his career, joining the company in 1955, and being promoted twice, to Soloist in 1961 and then to Principal in 1974. He retired from the Royal Ballet as a Principal dancer following the 2002 2003 season, but remained with the company as a Principal Character Artist and in recognition of his long service to the company, he also has the honorary title of Guest Artist. Drew is a teacher of pas de deux at the Royal Ballet School , the founder President of the Ballet Association, and in 2006, he was awarded the Order of the British Empire MBE for services to dance.
