  1. Archil of Iberia

Arch il lang ka , of the Chosroid Dynasty , was the king of Caucasian Iberia Iberia Kartli , eastern Georgia country Georgia from c. 411 to 435. He was the son and successor of King Mihrdat IV of Iberia Mirdat IV . The two principal medieval Georgian chronicles The Conversion of Kartli , and The Life of Kartli , relate conflicting versions of Archil s reign. The former story is extremely brief, but regretfully indicates that the positions of Zoroastrianism , an official Sasanid religion, was firm in Christian Iberia, a testimony to the effectively unchallenged Sasanid hegemony over the country. The other chronicle informs us of Archil s successful rebellion against Iran, his victory over a punitive force and a retaliatory raid into Arran Republic of Azerbaijan Arran . The authenticity of this latter account has been questioned by modern scholars. Arch il is also attested in two Armenia n sources Koryun s The Life of Saint Mesrob Mashtots , cap. 18 and Moses of Chorene , III.60. ref name Rapp Rapp, Stephen H. 2003 , Studies In Medieval Georgian Historiography Early Texts And Eurasian Contexts , p. 316. 1. Ghadam of Iberia

Ghadam lang ka or Adam was a king of Caucasian Iberia Iberia Kartli , modern eastern Georgia country Georgia whose three years of reign are scarcely recorded in the medieval Georgian chronicles. He is otherwise unattested elsewhere. Professor Cyril Toumanoff suggests AD 132 135 as the possible years of Ghadam s rule. The king s name is surmised by modern scholars to be a corrupted form of Radamistus , not an uncommon name in the ancient Caucasus Caucasian royal and noble families. According to the Georgian annals, Ghadam was the son of Pharasmanes II of Iberia P arsman the Good who is the Pharasmanes, king of the Iberians, of Cassius Dio and some other Classical antiquity Classical authors. 1. Iberia (Albéniz)

Iberia is a suite music suite for piano composed between 1905 and 1909 by the Spain Spanish composer Isaac Alb niz . It comprises four books of three pieces each a complete performance lasts about an hour and a half. It is Alb niz s masterpiece and his best known work, highly praised by Claude Debussy and Olivier Messiaen , who said Iberia is the wonder for the piano it is perhaps on the highest place among the more brilliant pieces for the king of the instruments . Stylistically, this suite falls squarely in the school of Impressionism , especially in its musical evocations of Spain. Technically, Iberia is one of the most difficult pieces in the repertoire, requiring immense strength from its interpreters and flexible hands. Michener original title Iberia Spanish Travels and Reflections , is a detailed and illustrated exploration of Spain as it was during the mid 1960s. The author takes a measured, literary view on such subjects as the Al Andalus Moorish occupation , Islam , Catholicism , Francisco Franco and other controversial subjects. However, his feeling are often far from neutral, as in his comments on Franco p.  836, at the end of his chapter on Teruel Why should I allow Franco to deprive me of a land which is almost as much mine as his? Michener shows to be very prescient, as in his talk of national cycles of rebirth p.  837 ... And one of these days, change will be true even of Russia, and we had better be prepared to admit it .... though in the United States we fight against it and blind our eye and conscience to the fact .
