A S Per Kure , variously also known as A S Per Kure Norsk Motor og Dynamofabrikk and ASEA Per Kure , was a manufacturer first of electric heaters and later of transformer s. Founded by Per Kure in 1897, it was for most of its history based at Hasle in Oslo , Norway . The company was dissolved during the creation of Asea Brown Boveri in 1988. History Per Kure, born in 1872, returned to Norway in 1897 after receiving an education in electronics in Mittweida , Germany. He established the company that bore his name on 28 September. The company started working with installation of electrical apparatuses, including lights and motors. Originally located in the street Kristian Augusts gate , the company moved to Universitetsgata 24 in 1905. Construction was supervised by the o yatoi gaikokujin French engineer Louis mile Bertin . The first warship constructed at Kure, Miyako ship Miyako , was launched in 1897. The Kure Shipyards were officially renamed the Kure Naval Arsenal in 1903. Kure developed into one of the largest shipbuilding facilities in the Empire of Japan , capable of working with the largest vessels. The Arsenal included a major steel works built with British assistance , and also facilities for producing naval artillery and projectiles. The battleship s Japanese battleship Yamato Yamato and Japanese battleship Nagato Nagato were designed and constructed at Kure. The facilities of the Kure Naval Arsenal were repeatedly targeted for bombing by the United States Navy during World War II , and over 70 of its buildings and equipment was destroyed. After the surrender of Japan in 1945, the Kure Naval Arsenal was turned over to civilian hands. It is now owned and operated by IHI Corporation Ishikawajima Harima and is one of Japan s few remaining active shipbuilders. From this point on, the two begin to grow closer together and Hiroko even learns Japanese Sign Language to understand Kohji better.
