  1. Thong Daeng

nofootnotes date December 2009 Thong Daeng , lang th a female copper colored dog, is one of the pets owned by King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. Bhumibol adopted Thong Daeng in 1998 from the litter of a stray dog that had been taken in by a medical center he had recently dedicated. Her name means copper in Thai language Thai . Bhumibol called her A common dog who is uncommon, and in 2002 wrote an affectionate biography of her titled The Story of Thong Daeng . The book is commonly referred to as a parable on many social topics. For instance, the King wrote that Tongdaeng is a respectful dog with proper manners she is humble and knows protocol. She would always sit lower than the King even when he pulls her up to embrace her, Tongdaeng would lower herself down on the floor, her ears in a respectful drooping position, as if she would say, I don t dare. All the names of the dogs owned by the King start with the word Thong lit. gold . The book instantly sold out in Thailand. Since demand was so high, the book became an esteemed gift. Shortages of the book had to be kept down by multiple reprints. Literature HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. The Story of Tongdaeng . Amarin, Bangkok. 2004. 1. Hin recombinase

otheruses HIN disambiguation Hin recombinase is a 21kD protein composed of 198 amino acid s that is found in the bacteria Salmonella . Hin belongs to the serine recombinase family of DNA invertase s in which it relies on the active site serine to initiate DNA cleavage and recombination. The related protein, gamma delta resolvase shares high similarity to Hin, of which much structural work has been done, including structures bound to DNA and reaction intermediate s. Hin functions to invert a 900 base pair base pair bp DNA segment within the salmonella genome that contains a promoter biology promoter for Downstream molecular biology downstream flagella r genes, fljA and fljB. Inversion of the intervening DNA alternates the direction of the promoter and thereby alternates Gene expression expression of the flagellar genes. This is advantageous to the bacterium as a means of escape from the Host biology host immune response . Hin functions by binding to two 26bp imperfect inverted repeat sequences as a homodimer . These hin binding sites flank the invertible segment which not only encodes the Hin gene itself, but also contains an enhancer element to which the bacterial FIS protein Fis proteins binds with nanomolar affinity. Four molecules of Fis bind to this site as a homodimers and are required for the recombination reaction to proceeded. The initial reaction requires binding of Hin and Fis to their respective DNA sequences and assemble into a higher order nucleoprotein complex with branched plectonemic supercoil s with the aid of the DNA bending protein HU.
