According to Nelson the malady of underdeveloped economies can be diagnosed as a stable equilibrium level of per capita income at or close to subsistence requirments. At this low stable equilibrium level, both the rate of investment and saving are low. If per capita income is increased above the minimum subsistence level , it encourages growth in population. 1. Lower Edmonton (low level) railway station

Lower Edmonton railway station was a station in Edmonton, London . It was known as Lower Edmonton low level to distinguish it from neighbouring Edmonton Green railway station Lower Edmonton high level . It was opened in 1849 by the Eastern Counties Railway as a link between two of the Lea Valley Lines . It was shut to passengers in 1939 after general poor service and poor use. After this it was used by LNER as a goods station , before it was finally closed in 1964 . The spur it once stood on has also been closed and built on. Edmonton Green Shopping Centre now sits on the former site of the platforms. ref http www.subbrit.org.uk sb sites stations l lower edmonton low level index.shtml Sub Brit ref The high level station still stands, today known as Edmonton Green railway station .
