For a time an actor, he was appointed in 1788 controller on the estate of a certain Count K nigl at Bezd kov Klatovy District Besdiekau in Bohemia , where he died, almost insane, the result of his weird fancies, on 17 August 1799. Spiess, in his Ritter , R uber and Geister Romane , as they are called stories of knights, robbers and ghosts of the dark ages the idea of which he borrowed from Goethe s G tz von Berlichingen Goethe G tz von Berlichingen and Friedrich Schiller Schiller s R uber and Der Geisterseher , was the founder of the German Schauerroman shocker , a style of writing continued, though in a finer vein, by Carl Gottlob Cramer 1758 1817 and by Goethe s brother in law, Christian August Vulpius . The most popular was a ghost story of the 13th century, Das Peterm nnchen 1793 among others were Der alte berall and Nirgends 1792 Die L wenritter 1794 , and Hans Heiling, vierter und letzter Regent der Erd Luft Feuer und Wasser Geister 1798 . 1. Schumacher (crater)

lunar crater data latitude 42.4 N or S N longitude 60.7 E or W E diameter 60  km depth 1.7  km colong 300 eponym Heinrich Christian Schumacher Heinrich C. Schumacher Schumacher is a moon lunar Impact crater crater that lies in the northeast part of the Moon , just to the north of the larger walled plain Messala crater Messala . The two formations are separated by a rough strip of terrain less than 10 kilometers across, and bisected by a pair of small, co joined craters. The northern member of this pair lies across the southern rim of Schumacher, and intrudes into the interior floor. The rim of this crater forms an eroded ring that is broken along the western side by the flooded crater Schumacher B. There is a low wiktionary terrace terrace along the northwestern inner wall. The rim is also notched along the eastern side by a pair of outward bulges. The interior floor of this crater has been resurfaced by basalt ic lava , and now forms a level, nearly featureless plain. The floor is somewhat darker in the western half, which the albedo in the eastern half matches the surrounding lunar terrain. Satellite craters By convention these features are identified on lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid point that is closest to Schumacher. class wikitable width 25 style background eeeeee Schumacher width 25 style background eeeeee Latitude width 25 style background eeeeee Longitude width 25 style background eeeeee Diameter align center B align center 42.1 N align center 59.4 E align center 24  km References Lunar crater references Category Impact craters on the Moon fa ...   more details
