He was a close friend of cavalry commander Yang Feng . When Li Jue Han Dynasty Li Jue and Guo Si held Emperor Xian of Han hostage, Yang wanted to defeat the rebels however his forces were too weak to hold up against them. Han was then recruited by Yang along with two other generals of the White Wave Bandits, Hu Cai and Li Yue. Together with the forces of Cao Cao , Guo and Li were finally defeated however Yang and Han felt that Cao was overly ambitious and conflicts would arise, so it was better if they left the capital. They then joined Yuan Shu s army. He served Yuan Shu for some time. After L Bu captured and killed Yuan Shu s agent Han Yin after discovering Yuan was trying to take L s daughter hostage, the enraged Yuan Shu led an army of 200,000 men to attack the city of Xiapi in Xu Province. Han and Yang served as rear generals. But with the help from Chen Gui , L Bu s advisor who was a mole espionage mole working for Cao Cao, Han Xian was told that Yuan Shu was a rebel trying to take over power from the emperor. With his Sixth Battalion, he wrought havoc on Yuan Shu s camp along with Yang and managed to give L Bu enough time to intercept Yuan Shu s camp, forcing Yuan to retreat. After Yuan s defeat he and Yang were promoted by L , however his bandit behaviour did not change. He and Yang were caught robbing civilians with their army and were executed by Liu Bei . He lived as a commoner under the Qin Dynasty s rule after his native state was Qin s wars of unification conquered by Qin in 230 BC. In 209 BC, when uprisings occurred throughout China to overthrow the Qin Dynasty , Han went to join Xiang Liang s rebel force in hope of avenging his state. Along the way, he met Zhang Liang Western Han Zhang Liang , a descendant of a bureaucrat family from his state. Zhang succeeded in persuading Xiang Liang to restore the H n kingdom and Han was appointed as its ruler, with Zhang serving as his chancellor. Xiang also provided some troops to Han and allowed him to attack the Qin garrisons based at Yingchuan in present day Henan . After the fall of the Qin Dynasty in 206 BC, Xiang Yu divided the former Qin Empire into the Eighteen Kingdoms . Han was appointed as ruler of the H n kingdom. Months later, Xiang had Han killed and replaced with Zheng Chang . Han was initially a minor official serving in the Zhao state Zhao state . In 209 BC, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang initiated the Daze Village Uprising to overthrow the Qin Dynasty and Han participated in the rebellion. Chen sent Wu Chen Qin Dynasty Wu Chen to attack the former territories of Zhao. After conquering Zhao, Wu Chen sent Han to rally support from the former Yan state Yan state . Han received a warm welcome and was nominated by the people of Yan to be their king. The following year, Zhao came under attack by the Qin army, led by Zhang Han Qin Dynasty Zhang Han . Han sent his general Zang Tu to lead an army to help Zhao.
