The station is managed by First Great Western , who operate services on the North Downs Line from Reading station Reading to Guildford Surrey railway station Guildford , Redhill railway station Redhill and Gatwick Airport railway station Gatwick Airport . It is one of two stations serving Farnborough the other, Farnborough railway station Farnborough Main , is situated on the South Western Main Line and is considerably busier. At peak times, around 8 30am and 4 30pm, the station is much busier than usual, when students from the two local colleges and the local school use the station for their travel to and from education. In the mornings there is usually a substantial queue to cross over the level crossing, trailing the entire platform.     The Imperial Crypt at St Michael s Abbey, Farnborough , is the burial place of the exiled Napoleon III of France Emperor Napoleon III of France and his wife, Eug nie de Montijo . It also contains the tomb of the couple s son, Napol on Eug ne, Prince Imperial also known as Napol on IV , who was the pretender to the imperial throne of France . Napol on III, following the fall of the Second French Empire in 1870, was exiled from France and took up residence in Chislehurst , England , where he died in 1873. He was originally buried at St Mary s Catholic Church, Chislehurst, but, following the death of the Prince Imperial in 1879, the grief stricken Empress Eug nie set about building a monument to her family.
