    The Crazy Butch Gang was a teenage New York street gang which were known as the cities top pickpocket s and sneak thieves during the late nineteenth century. An early member of this gang would later become known as a prominent New York gangster Jack Zelig . Crazy Butch Crazy Butch was supposedly orphaned at age 8, abandoned by his parents in Manhattan, where he began pickpocketing. According to legend, he later found a dog, which he later named Rabbi, and trained it to snatch purses and bring them around the corner at Willett Street and Stanton Street where he would be waiting. Crazy Butch Gang In the early 1890s the gang began a snatch racket , where a gang member would purposely drive his bicycle into a pedestrian and begin an argument. As a group had gathered to watch the argument the other gang members would pickpocket the crowd. Then they would meet back at their headquarters on Forsyth Street on Manhattan s Lower East Side to divide up the money. The gang was allied to the Monk Eastman Eastman Gang who were at almost constant war with the Five Points Gang Five Points and Humpty Jackson Gang s between the late 1890s and early 1900s as they were incorporated into the Squab Wheelmen , an ally of Monk Eastman s organization. The gang broke up when Crazy Butch was killed by Harry the Soldier in a gunfight over a female shoplifter known as the Darby Kid.     Nuno Frederico Correia da Silva Lobato Markl born 21 July 1971 is a Portuguese people Portuguese comedian, writer, radio host, television host and screenwriter. He was born in Lisbon. Career Radio Nuno Markl is well known in Portugal for his radio series O Homem que Mordeu o C o The Man Who Bit The Dog . It started in 1997 , when he joined Pedro Ribeiro, Jos Carlos Malato and Ana Lamy for the morning show at R dio Comercial in 2001 , Malato and Lamy left, and were replaced by Maria de Vasconcelos. The radio series later spawned a TV show, and three books. October 2008 As of October 2008 , Markl works for RDP Antena 3 Antena 3 , with his current shows being S o Coisas Que Acontecem , Laboratolarilolela a showcase of lesser known Pimba artists and songs , and Nuno & Nando with Fernando Alvim . Before S o Coisas Que Acontecem , he also ran H Vida em Markl based on a comic strip formerly published on P blico Portugal Inimigo P blico and O Livro dos Porqu s where funny answers were given to mundane factoid questions . Television Nuno Markl debuted on television in 2001 , co hosting Sem Filtro a youth oriented talk show on RTP1 alongside Rita Mendes and Gaspar Borges. He then moved to SIC Radical , where he worked on two different projects revolving around his other passion, film . Also in SIC Radical, he had a television show with Fernando Alvim called O Perfeito Anormal , which launched the comedy troupe Gato Fedorento . He wrote many cult sketches for Herman Jos , especially for his show Herman Enciclop dia . He also wrote for the prematurely cancelled Programa da Maria which had some Upright Citizens Brigade influenced sketches and now writes for Os Contempor neos . Other projects Nuno regularly updates his weblog, H Vida em Markl , providing movie reviews, video blogs, and updates on his work.
