There are also junior teams playing in the VJBL the Friday night competitions. They play from U12 to U20. Teams stretch from VC Victorian Championships to Metro and Eastern Qualifying, which are lesser grades. Generally, teams are made up of eight players. In some age groups enrolments are so high that teams may be made up of more players where extra teams cannot be formed. Usually there are many teams in each age group. For example, in Under 14 there are currently 28 boys teams, each made up of eight or more players.
