It was replaced by Electoral district of Hastings and Manning Hastings and Manning from 1880 to 1894, which elected two members with voters casting two votes and the two leading candidates being elected. In 1894 it was divided between the single member electoral district of Electoral district of Hastings and Macleay Hastings and Macleay and Electoral district of Manning Manning . In 1920 proportional representation was introduced and Hastings and Macleay was absorbed into the new four member district of Electoral district of Oxley New South Wales Oxley . Kevin Harrold , MP from 1973 to 1976 representing the Democratic Labor Party , the only person ever elected to a single member electorate in New South Wales representing that party.     Unreferenced date March 2007 Sturt was an New South Wales Legislative Assembly electoral districts electoral district of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly Legislative Assembly in the Australia n state of New South Wales in the Broken Hill, New South Wales Broken Hill area. It was a single member electorate from 1889 to 1920. In 1920 it was combined with Electoral district of Cobar Cobar and Electoral district of Willyama Willyama to create a three member electorate, elected by proportional representation . In 1927, it became a single member electorate, but was renamed Electoral district of Broken Hill Broken Hill in 1968. It was recreated in 1971, but abolished in 1981.
