Most students arrive with credit deficiencies and transfer to El Camino throughout the school year. About 50 60 students graduate each year, with another 20 to 30 returning to Rancho Cotate High School to graduate with their own class. About a dozen students complete their secondary education each year by passing the California High School Proficiency Examination or the G.E.D. Test. Campus El Camino High School along with two other schools share a campus designed for what used to be Richard Crane Elementary School. There have been no plans to upgrade the campus to better support its new student type.
