Biography Germain joined Shadows Fall prior to recording their first album Somber Eyes to the Sky , replacing Adam Dutkiewicz who was only there to temporarily help start Shadows Fall and left a year after the tour supporting Shadows Fall s second album Of One Blood . He stayed in the band the whole melodic death metal era of Shadows Fall. During this period the band opened for King Diamond , Fear Factory and Cannibal Corpse , amongst others. After leaving Shadows Fall in 2001, Germain joined Boston, Massachusetts based punk ska band Jaya the Cat , who have recorded three studio albums Basement Style , First Beer of a New Day and the latest, More Late Night Transmissions as well as performing on the live album Ernesto s Burning . Following a European tour, the band decided to go to Amsterdam for a few months and, after three years, are still living there. Germain is now touring with Jaya the Cat in both Western and Eastern Europe and will hit European summer festivals. unreferenced date August 2008 French literature small Germain Marie Bernard Nouveau was born and died in Pourri res , Var department Var , in France 31 July 1851 4 April 1920 . He was a French poet associated with the symbolism arts symbolist movement, and a friend of Rimbaud and Verlaine . In 1874 he traveled to London with Rimbaud. In 1876 he published Dixains r alistes, a parody of the Parnassians. In 1879 1881 he wrote Doctrine de l amour a book of poems he later rejected but which was published despite his wishes in 1904. Toward the end of his life, he converted to Catholicism, and he died in poverty. Among his best known poems are Les Cath drales. Several posthumous poems and other works are collected in the Pl iade edition Oeuvres Compl tes. Pierre Olivier Walzer ed. Paris Gallimard, 1970 . Early life Nouveau was one of four children of Felicien Nouveau 1826 1884 and Marie Silvy 1832 1858 . His mother died before he was seven years old, and he was raised by his grandfather. He spent most of his childhood at Aix en Provence , and he moved to Paris in the fall of 1872. Early Career In Paris in 1872 he published his first poem, Sonnet of Summer, and he discovered the work of poets Verlaine and Rimbaud.
