Unreferenced date December 2009 Yemelyan Danilov Lang ru 1627 1654 was a Russian bellmaker . Yemelyan Danilov was born to a famous family of Moscow Muscovite bellmakers, the progenitor of which was Danila Matveyev . The latter was an apprentice to Kirill Samoylov , who, in turn, had once been a student of Andrey Chokhov . Danila Matveyev cast his first bells in 1622 and would receive an honorary title of tsar s bellmaker . The information about Danila Matveyev s career is rather scarse. After the tsar had chosen him over a Germany German bellmaker Hans Falk bellmaker Hans Falk , Yemelyan Danilov continued his father s work and finished casting the Resurrection Bell in 1652. Kirsha Danilov was the supposed compiler of a collection of 70 Russian heroic, religious and humorous bylina folksongs that made its first appearance in print in 1804. The anthology is entitled The Ancient Russian Poems and includes 71 texts set down in manuscript in the mid 18th century, probably in the Urals . Allegedly, it was composed by Zhukov and Timoshenko and presented to Stalin . The publishing of this plan initiated a longer discussion among the Russian historian over Stalin s actual strategy in 1941. Contrary to many historians both within Russia and the West David Glantz , Valeri Danilov has argued that taking into account the concentration of power to Stalin s hand it is highly implausible, that the Soviet defense commissar and the chief of staff could have prepared such a document without Stalin s authorization. Considering the 1937 purges of the higher officers, it is hardly possible that staff officers would have risked antagonised official Soviet policy. Danilov suggests and he is supported by Meltyukhov , Nevezhin and others that this draft by Zhukov was actually basis for Soviet military planning in 1941.
