As district attorney, Conley oversees the largest and busiest district attorney s office in Massachusetts. His office is currently responsible for the prosecution of between 40,000 to 50,000 criminal cases every year in the state s most densely populated county. Conley graduated from Stonehill College in 1980 and Suffolk University Law School in 1983. He joined the office of the Suffolk County District Attorney after passing the Massachusetts Bar Exam. Beginning his career as an Assistant D.A. handling cases in the Boston Municipal Court , he would later begin prosecuting juvenile cases in the Boston Juvenile Court . In 1987 he was promoted to the Suffolk Superior Court where he prosecuted felony cases. Daniel Cohalan 1865 1946 was an Irish American leader and judge of the Supreme Court of New York State 1912 1935 . Born in Middletown, New York where he joined and became a prominent member of the Democratic Party and later involved in the leadership of the Tammany Society 1908 11 . In 1912, Cohalan was appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court of New York State. He was a close associate of Irish revolutionary leader, John Devoy and was influential in many Irish American societies including Clan na Gael . Cohalan was involved with the financing and planning of the Easter Rising in Dublin and was instrumental in sending Roger Casement to Germany in 1914. He was Chairman of the Irish Race Convention held in Philadelphia 22 23 February 1919 and active in the Friends of Irish Freedom 1916 1934 . Cohalan strongly opposed President Woodrow Wilson s proposals for the League of Nations , on the basis that the Irish Republic had been denied a policy of self determination at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. Life Steck began studying the modern violin with J rg Wolfgang Jahn in Karlsruhe and the baroque violin with Reinhard Goebel in Cologne . After his studies he served as concertmaster for Musica Antiqua K ln and the French ensemble Les Musicians du Louvre under Marc Minkowski . With these ensembles he gave concerts worldwide and has participated in more than thirty CD recordings. In 1996 he co founded the Schuppanzigh Quartet , where he is first violin. From 2005 to 2008 he was concertmaster of Concerto K ln . In 1997 he made his conducting d but with the Handel Festival Orchestra Halle, since 1999 he has been artistic director of this ensemble. His repertoire ranges from early Baroque to the sonatas and violin concertos of Louis Spohr . The recording of the Sonatas KV 55 60 by Mozart and sonatas by Johann Georg Pisendel been awarded several international record prizes. Steck, since 2000, is professor of baroque violin and conductor of the Baroque Orchestra of the National Academy of Music Trossingen .
