History After training in a government design and manufacturing plant Cyril Jones began work with Sound Techniques Recording Studio in Chelsea, London who required assembly facilities in 1969. This work led to assembling and testing the modules for the first Trident Studios multi track mixing console and the later development of the System 12 console with Geoff Frost. The System 12 was manufactured and shipped worldwide, one to Bob Marley . In 1972 Jones was offered the chance to design and construct a 24 Track console for Ian Gillan of Deep Purple for his new London studio Kingsway Recorders, this console is still in use today The Mini Mixer was born soon afterwards followed by the Series 3 consoles which replaced the Helios console at Olympic Studios 2 and in the remix room Further Series 3 consoles were dispatched world wide including one for Rupert Neve for his Christian Fellowship.
