It is written in Latin . It is thought to have been written by the same author as Chronica Jutensis . In this summary, the name Gesta Danorum is found. It is not known if Saxo also used this name for his original work. As this is a summary, a large part of the original work is cut out, which some readers have found frustrating. As the author is less interested in war and battles, stories dealing with such things are often cut heavily. It was established by the British Empire British colonial government in 1952. Although the primary function is to investigate corruption, it is empowered to investigate other criminal cases in which corruption may be involved. Incorporated within the Prime Minister s Office PMO , the Bureau is headed by a director who reports directly to the Prime Minister of Singapore Prime Minister . CPIB is therefore independent from the Singapore Police Force and other government agencies to prevent any undue interference in its investigations.
