Circulatingcapital refers to physical capital and operating expenses, i.e., short lived items that are used in production and used up in the process of creating other goods or services. This is roughly equal to Intermediate consumption . It includes raw materials , intermediate goods , inventory inventories , ancillary operating expenses and working capital . It is contrasted with fixed capital . The term was used by classical economists such as Adam Smith , David Ricardo and Karl Marx . Therefore, circulatingcapital is a component of the technical capital that participates in and is used up in a single cycle of production. It always needs replacing at every cycle raw materials, basic and intermediate materials, combustible, energy . In accounting, the circulatingcapital comes under the heading of current assets. According to Karl Marx second volume of Das Kapital , end of chapter 7 the turnover of capital influences the processes of production and self expansion , the two new forms of capital, circulating and fixed, accrue to capital from the process of circulation and affect the form of its turnover . In the following chapter Marx defines fixed capital and circulatingcapital. In chapter 9 he claims We have here not alone quantitative but also qualitative difference. Conventionally, physical capital assets held by a business for more than one year are regarded in annual accounting statements as fixed , the rest as circulating . In modern economies such as the United States, roughly half of the intermediate inputs bought or used by businesses are in fact services, and not goods. Effective Circulating Volume ECV is the volume of arterial blood vascular extracellular fluid effectively perfusion perfusing tissue. ECV is a dynamic quantity and not a measurable, distinct compartment. ECV is about 0.7 L in a 70 kg individual. This concept is useful for discussion of cardiovascular and renal physiology. Though ECV normally varies with extracellular fluid ECF , they become uncoupled in diseases, such as congestive heart failure CHF or hepatic cirrhosis . In such cases decreased ECV may lead to volume depletion responses and edema . Decreased ECV can stimulate renin secretion or stimulate a sympathetic nervous system response or prostaglandin release all of which help mediate renal blood flow and glomerular filtration rate among other things . Unreferenced date December 2009 Non circulating legal tender NCLT is a coin like object that cannot be used or is not used for payments, so they are not money . They are minted for sale to collectors only. They are also called pseudo coin or medal coin. Advanced collectors typically try to avoid buying NCLT, so that buyers are often beginning or superficial collectors. For this reason, there is only a shallow secondary market for NCLT, so that it can often be sold only at melt value. Therefore, issuers normally try to hide the status of NCLT by intensive marketing , with terms like legal tender , limited mintage , demanded by collectors or even investment , stressing precious metal content and luxury execution. The issuers sell NCLT well above its nominal value, so that it cannot circulate. NCLT may be issued for non existing countries, non sovereign entities or uninhabited islands fantasy pieces . They may have impractical or anachronistic denominations, they may be issued only as proof coinage proofs , they may be colourized or in an anachronistic coin metal, such as silver or gold .
