It is located at 4011 54th Street at the intersection of Orlando & 54th in Lubbock, Texas . It was constructed first as a school in 1958 and became a parish entity on January 1, 1961, with the completion of the church itself. When it was built it was surrounded by cotton field, but is now surrounded by much of the city. On June 17, 1984, Pope John Paul II appointed it the seat of the newly created Roman Catholic Diocese of Lubbock Diocese of Lubbock with the ordination of Bishop Michael J. Sheehan.     Christ The King Anglican College is a small co educational school in Cobram, Victoria founded in 2000 . Its first Principal school principal was Andrew Williams, served until 2003. Both his sons, Peter, and Tim, were pupils there. His wife Carol set up the brand new library. The two innaugral sports houses were Farrah Blue and Cowell Red , named after the Bishop David Farrah and the Local Priest Lyall Cowell. After initially starting with 20 students in 2000 with Grades 5 7, it rose to 102 by 2003 with Grades from 4 10, and from there increasing year by year. The school had its own tennis team named CKC Kings . The second principal was Craig Keating. The current principal is Michael Merrylees. The idea for this 54 feet high architectural beauty emerged in 1926. It is the only structure of its kind in the city of Karachi and is popular with tourists. Fr. Vincent Gimenez S.J. was the Parish Priest of St. Patrick s Parish when Pope Pius IX initiated the Feast of Christ the King celebrated on the last Sunday in October . Fr. Gimenez was the first to introduce the procession of Christ the King through the streets of Saddar Town in October 1926. In 1927 the local branch of the Apostleship of Prayer conceived the idea of erecting a monument that would be a symbol of devotion to the Scared Heart of Jesus. The Catholics of Karachi and surrounding areas got together and formed a Board consisting of 26 members. Rev. Fr. Gimenez was the President, Mr. R.A.M D Silva was General Secretary and Mr. C. S. Lobo was Treasurer.     The Anglican Diocese of Christ the King is a diocese in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa . History The diocese was founded in 1990. It comprises Sharpeville , Vereeniging , Boipatong , Vanderbijlpark , Sebokeng and the southern side of the city of Johannesburg in South Africa . The diocese is the area between the Vaal Triangle where Sharpeville, Vereeniging, Boipatong, Vanderbijlpark and Sebokeng are found and the southern side of the city of Johannesburg in South Africa. The diocese is small in size, being only 80km long and half that wide, but rapid urbanisation has resulted in significant growth in parishes. Just over half of these churches have a recognisable church building in which to worship. The rest meet in garages, shacks or the open air. One of the latest new congregations worships in French and aims to welcome refugees from the Congo and other Francophone African countries.
