Aims of the Commmission The stated vision of the Commission is for a dynamic and well governed charities sector in which the public has confidence, underpinned by the CharityCommission for Northern Ireland s effective delivery of its regulatory and advisory role . The values of the Commission are Fairness Accountability Proportionality Transparency Consistency Status The Commission is a non departmental public body, supported by the Department for Social Development . Its main role is to register and regulate the estimated 7,000 10,000 charities working within Northern Ireland.
