  1. Open catalogue

Open catalogue is an open content catalogue or free content catalogue, i.e., a structured database with information about products or other stored items in a standardized format. A catalogue implies categorization or classification of the items involved, and database normalization to increase the usability of the catalogue for searching & finding, and comparing items within the same category on their main attributes. The term is first used by Prof. Dr. Martijn Hoogeveen of the Open University Netherlands for the Open ICEcat project, which resulted in an open catalogue for product information, often used by merchants as input for their mail order catalogue . 1. Thematic catalogue

A thematic catalogue is an index used to identify musical compositions through the citation of either the opening notes incipit or main theme of the work. Such catalogues can be used for many purposes, including as guides to a specific composer s works, as an inventory of a library s holding or as an advertisement of a publisher s output. In addition to the musical identification, a thematic catalogue may continue information such as dates of composition and first performance. Works within a thematic catalogue can be grouped chronologically or by genre. Thematic catalogues produced as scholarly guides to the works of a particular composer provide a shorthand means of identification for their music. The Bach Werke Verzeichnis BWV numbering system used for the works of Johann Sebastian Bach is one example. References Grier, James, Thematic catalogue . 1. Tycho-2 Catalogue

The Tycho 2 Catalogue is a astronomical catalog catalogue of more than 2.5 million of the brightest star s. Catalogue The astrometric reference catalogue contain positions, proper motion s, and two color photometry astronomy photometric data for the 2,539,913 of the brightest stars in the Milky Way, of which about 5000 are visible to the naked eye. Components of double stars with separations down to 0.8 arcsecond s are included. The catalog is 99 complete to V 11.0 and 90 complete to v 11.5. When date September 2011 The Tycho 2 positions and magnitude astronomy magnitudes are based on the observations collected by the star mapper of the European Space Agency s Hipparcos satellite. They are the same observations used to compile the Hipparcos Catalogue Tycho 1 Catalogue ESA SP 1200, 1997 . However, Tycho 2 is much larger and a bit more precise, because a more advanced reduction technique was used. The U.S. Naval Observatory USNO first compiled the ACT Astrographic Catalog Tycho Reference Catalog, containing nearly one million stars, by combining the Astrographic Catalogue AC 2000 with the Tycho 1 Catalogue the large epoch span between the two catalogs improved the accuracy of proper motions by about an order of magnitude. Tycho 2 now supersedes the ACT. Proper motions precise to about 2.5 mas yr are given as derived from a comparison with the Astrographic Catalogue AC 2000 and 143 other ground based astrometric catalogues, all reduced to the Hipparcos celestial coordinate system . There were only about 100,000 stars for which proper motion could not be derived. For stars brighter than Vt 9, the astrometric error is 7 milliarcseconds. The overall error for all stars is 60 milliarcseconds ..., A. 2000 The Tycho 2 catalogue of the 2.5 million brightest stars , Astronomy & Astrophysics, v.355, pp. L27 L30. 1. Biamonti Catalogue

The Biamonti Catalogue is a catalogue of Ludwig van Beethoven s compositions published in 1968 by the ILTE of Turin. The original name of the work is Catalogo cronologico e tematico di tutte le opere di Beethoven, comprese quelle inedite e gli abbozzi non utilizzati . Giovanni Biamonti tried to combine all pieces of the author, including all works approached in other catalogues the opus, Kinsky Halm Catalogue , Willy Hess composer Hess and Grove , in a single chronological listing. All other catalogues are numbered by date of publishing. The numeration system used is Bia plus the number attributed to the piece in the catalogue. Although Biamonti s work comprises 849 entries, including published and unpublished pieces, and even fragments, from 1782 to March 1827, there are some that Biamonti could not have known about, and so there is still no single catalog with all of Beethoven s compositions. Biamonti s numbers, in addition, are rarely used. Instead, WoO numbers are generally favoured. fact date November 2008 References Biamonti, Giovanni. 1. Liberian Catalogue

In compiling the history of the Early Christian Church , the Liberian Catalogue Catalogus Liberianus , which was part of the illuminated manuscript known as the Chronography of 354 , is an essential document, for it consists of a List of popes list of the popes , designated bishops of Rome, ending with Pope Liberius died 366 , hence its name and approximate date. The list gives the lengths of their respective episcopates, the corresponding consular dates, and the names of the reigning emperors. In many cases there are other details. The collection of tracts of which this forms a part was edited apparently by one Furius Dionysius Philocalus in 354 CE . It now survives only in a copy. The Liberian Catalogue is clearly the work of a compiler using earlier texts. It has been suggested that it is largely dependent on a work of Bishop Hippolytus writer Hippolytus of Portus died 235 , and is his lost Chronica . The character of the entries changes after Pope Pontian Pontian . There are a number of strange errors Edmundson 1913, lecture VIII in the Liberian Catalogue, some of which may be the product merely of copyist errors CE . The texts in the Chronography do display damage in transmission. Anomalies in the Liberian Catalogue George Edmundson pointed out a number of anomalies. The deaths of St. Peter and St. Paul are stated to have taken place in A.D. 55 Clement succeeds Linus in A.D. 67, and Anencletus, the real successor of Linus, is duplicated and follows Clement, first at Cletus, then as Anacletus. Clement s death is recorded as having occurred sixteen years before he became bishop according to the generally received date. Nor were the errors confined to the first century episcopates.
