    Cleanup date January 2010 Bulkeley Wells was born in Chicago on March 10, 1872, to businessman Samuel Edgar Wells and Marry Agnes Bulkeley. He was educated at Roxbury Latin School and at Harvard University . He married into the wealthy family of Colonel Thomas L. Livermore, to daughter Grace Livermore. He moved to Telluride, Colorado , and joined the executive board of the Telluride Mining Association, and headed up the San Miguel County Citizens Alliance SMCCA . He had a deputy sheriff s commission, and was captain of Troop A of the Colorado National Guard . He was also a Mason, and an Elk. Wells became president and manager of the Smuggler Union Mining Company after the murder of Arthur L. He conducted a campaign of vilification of Vincent Saint John , the head of the Telluride Miners Union. Wells also reached erroneous conclusions when a local mine guard by the name of William J. Barney abruptly disappeared. Wells decided that a murder had been committed, and believed that local union leaders were responsible. There was one difficulty with this scenario William J. It was created on 19 January 1644 for Thomas Bulkeley, 1st Viscount Bulkeley Thomas Bulkeley , the son of Richard Bulkeley died 1621 Sir Richard Bulkeley of Beaumaris and a supporter of King Charles I of England . The title descended from father to son until the death of his great great grandson, the fifth Viscount, in 1738. The late Viscount was childless and was succeeded by his younger brother, the sixth Viscount. The latter was succeeded by his son, the eighth Viscount. He was created Lord Bulkeley , Baron of Beaumaris, in the County of Anglesey, in the Peerage of Great Britain on 14 May 1784, which entitled him to a seat in the House of Lords . In 1802 he assumed by Royal license the additional surname of Warren, which was that of his father in law, George Warren MP Sir George Warren . On his death in 1822 both titles became extinct. Life He was the eleventh and youngest son of Richard Bulkeley died 1573 Sir Richard Bulkeley of Beaumaris and Cheadle, but the eldest by his second wife, Agnes, daughter of Thomas Needham of Stenton. He was thus half brother of Richard Bulkeley died 1621 Sir Richard Bulkeley . He entered at the beginning of 1587 as commoner Brasenose College, Oxford , where he proceeded B.A. he afterwards moved to St. Edmund Hall , where he took his M.A. degree in 1593. He was born in the parish of St Peter in the East , Oxford , firstborn son of Rev. Dr. James Bandinel of Netherbury by his wife, Margaret n e Dumaresq . Educated at Reading, Berkshire Reading under Richard Valpy and then at Winchester College , Bandinel entered New College, Oxford , in 1800 B.A. 1805, M.A. 1807, B.D. and D.D. 1823 and was a Fellow there until 1813. He was ordained as a priest in the Church of England in 1805. During Admiral Sir James Saumarez s Baltic campaign of 1808, Bandinel served a short while as chaplain on board HMS Victory but, returning, he settled in Oxford and rose within the University s ranks. From 1810 he was Sub Librarian of the Bodleian Library under his godfather John Price librarian John Price , and rose to become Bodley s Librarian in 1813 upon Price s death. It was a position he held until his own death in 1861.
