The BritishSchool of Paris BSP is a United Kingdom British non selective co educational school which provides British education of a high quality to an international student clientele from age 3 to 18. History Founded in 1954 by Mary J. Cosyn , as a centre of holistic education for a British ex pat community, it has developed over the years into a truly international School with students of over 50 nationalities on roll. Campuses The Junior School, opened new premises in September 2010, and is now situated just along the banks of the Seine from the Senior School. Previously it had been housed on two sites, one at Bougival and the other at Croissy sur Seine This purpose built school provides a practical and interactive approach to teaching, employing new technology where possible. The Head of the Junior School is Mr Jamie Hornshaw The Senior School stands is a calm and idyllic setting on the banks of the river Seine. It too, provides excellent specialist facilities for teaching and learning. The BSP offers General Certificate of Education GCSE , Advanced Subsidiary AS and Advanced Level A Level. Most students study 9 GCSE subjects and 4 or 5 A Levels. These qualifications facilitate an easy progression into university in the UK or elsewhere in the world. In addition, an impressive extra curricular programme is offered in both the Junior and Senior schools. The Headmaster of both schools is Dr Steffen Sommer.
