Quakers within Australia Yearly Meeting generally follow the Religious Society of Friends Unprogrammed worship unprogrammed style of worship. Australia Yearly Meeting comprises seven Regional Meetings New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Canberra, Queensland and West Australia Regional Meetings. Regional Meetings, in turn, comprise Local Meetings, Recognised Meetings and Worshipping Groups. There are approximately 1,000 members of the Religious Society of Friends Quakers in Australia and an additional 1,000 people not in membership are estimated to attend meetings in Australia. There are various JYM groups worldwide, which cover the same geographical boundaries as their respective Yearly meeting . Most countries have one Yearly meeting which corresponds to national borders, but in the USA there are Yearly Meetings on regional, state and city level, and this is reflected in their JYMs. The frequency and age range of gatherings varies between JYMs. In Great Britain Britain , JYM is a residential annual gathering, held at a different time to the Britain Yearly Meeting BYM all age gathering, of about 140 16 18 year olds from around the country and a few Friends from European Yearly Meetings. Each Monthly meeting within BYM nominates two young people to attend as representatives, and each of the Friends Schools in Britain but not Northern Ireland List of Friends Schools Quaker School also nominates two young people as representatives. The event is organised, clerked and facilitated by 16 18 year olds in partnership with staff and adult volunteers Over 20s . New England Yearly Meeting NEYM is part of both Friends General Conference and Friends United Meeting two broader bodies of Friends. They are also part of Friends World Committee for Consultation and the Friends Peace Teams Project . Sixty eight monthly meeting s are associated with NEYM. Most of the constituent monthly meetings are in the unprogrammed tradition, which means that they meet for silent worship in which any participant may share whatever they believe the Spirit of God leads them to say.
