Art collections of Fondazione Cariplo Marco Gozzi San Giovanni Bianco Bergamo , 1759 Milan, 1839 was an Italian painter. Biography Probably trained under the guidance of the painter Corneo, Marco Gozzi worked initially in a broad range of fields including portraiture, religious subjects and decorative frescoes executed in accordance with the Veneto tradition, which was still predominant in the area of Bergamo . There is no record of his activity as a landscape painter until 1807, when he signed a contract with Count De Breme, then Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Italy, for the execution of four views of Lombardy a year in return for a government pension. This prestigious commission marked the transition from landscape painting still tied to Arcadian models to views of a topographical character. The ministerial contract was renewed in 1812 and his regular participation in the annual Brera exhibitions began the following year. While he never held the chair in landscape at the Academy, he was elected an honorary member in 1829 and qualified as a landscape painter in 1832. 1. Jo? Hrvatska ni propala

Italic title Jo Hrvatska ni propala lang en Croatia Has Not Yet Fallen is a famous Croats Croatian patriotic reveille which was penned by Ljudevit Gaj and set to music by the composer Ferdo Livadi in 1833. The song is considered the anthem of the Illyrian Movement , which constituted a great part of the Croatian Romantic nationalism national revival . Gaj s story of how the song came about was related in Franjo Kuha s work Illyrian Songwriters Ilirski glazbenici . Travelling to Samobor to visit Livadi , Gaj thought to himself, Croatia has not yet fallen so long as we revivalists are alive . At the same time he heard the sound of villagers singing in church. When he arrived at Livadi s house, he already had the words and melody ready. That night they penned several other verses, of which three became the best known and were treated as the unofficial anthem of the Illyrian Movement. The song was first performed publicly on February 4, 1835 in a Zagreb theatre. Lyrics Croatian English translation poem Jo Hrvatska ni propala dok mi ivimo, visoko se bude stala kad ju zbudimo.
