Originating from deprived families who had little more than utensils and empty milk bottle s to play with, the game evolved into a phenomenon in the 20th century. Today variations of the game may be found in fair and carnival midways. Playing requires a milk bottle, three clothes pegs , or if no pegs are available, pen s. Rules An unlimited number of players can get involved. Each player has three pegs. Players must kneel on a chair, leaning on the chairback, and attempt to drop the pegs into the milk bottle placed on the floor behind the chair.
