Multiple issues wikify December 2011 orphan February 2009 refimprove August 2007 The Triennial of Photography Hamburg originated as an initiative of the photographer and collector F. C. Gundlach , with the support of the directors of Hamburg s major museums. Every third year since 1999 a festival of photography has taken place in and around Hamburg, for which the cooperation of cultural institutions is crucial. The internationally unique joint venture of ten of the city s major museums and cultural institutions also encouraged many art galleries and other organizations to open their premises to photography. Meanwhile, the Triennial of Photography Hamburg has become an important festival of international reputation. In 2005, 83 museums, galleries, and other organizations with 114 photo exhibitions took part in the 3rd Triennial of Photography that was visited by 260,000 guests. Besides a great variety of exhibitions presenting the whole range of photographic techniques and styles, the festival was complemented by symposia, lectures, and conferences. The Triennial Act , http www.constitution.org Constitution Society Accessed 7 May 2008 ref by the England English Long Parliament , during the reign of Charles I of England King Charles I . The act requires that Parliament meet for at least a fifty day session once every three years. It was intended to prevent kings from ruling without Parliament, as Charles had done between 1629 and 1640. If the King failed to call Parliament, the Act required the Lord Chancellor to issue the writs, and failing that, the House of Lords could assemble and issue writs for the election of the House of Commons. Clause 11 was unusual because it explicitly stated that this Bill would receive the Royal Assent before the end of the Parliamentary session. At that time, Bills did not customarily gain Royal assent until after the end of the Session. Thus, if Clause 11 were not present, the Act may not have come into force until the next Parliament. ref name CS In 1664, it was repealed by the Triennial Parliaments Act 1664 16 Cha.
