The album debuted at 17 on the Billboard 200 chart, with 19,000 units sold. Background The album was produced by Grammy nominated producer Howard Benson and mixed by Chris Lord Alge. The band has mentioned this will be their heaviest material to date and very similar to some of their early songs. Throughout the first half of 2010, the band went back and forth between putting on live shows and working on the album in the studio. During this time, they debuted a few new songs live, including Dead in the Water , Now is the Time , and the new album s first single Shoot It Out . On June 12, 2010, Shoot It Out was played on Sirius XM Radio. The track was released to radio in late June, and was made available to download on iTunes July 6. If the order of the rules are reversed, they are said to be in counterfeeding order . For example, if we have two rules, rule A which looks like x y and rule B which looks like y z , then the following is a feeding order A x y B y z while the following is a counterfeeding order B y z A x y A good example of feeding can be seen in English language English , where preglottalization can be considered as rule B. As a consequence of this rule, all voiceless plosive s which make part of a word final consonant cluster are glottalized. This can be seen in the form looked , with the underlying representation IPA l kt . It is pronounced IPA l kt . Another rule in English which is called fortis stop insertion shall be considered here as rule A. This rule inserts a voiceless plosives for example in IPA pr ns prince , so that the new form of the word becomes IPA pr nts . Because a new phonological context has been created in which rule B can take place, the final output form of prince is IPA pr n ts . After the release of Say It Is So Finn felt that he wanted to try something a bit friskier and more energetic. In the Frenz of the Enz released book Letters to My Frenz Finn stated that he wasn t completely happy with the songs he had written for the album, so he borrowed former Split Enz bandmate Phil Judd s song Incognito in California . After Judd left Split Enz in 1977, Mushroom Records boss Michael Gudinski paid him to live in the English countryside and demo songs.
