He was the son of a goldsmith and became a student of the sculptor Donatello , with whom he worked on many projects, including in the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua . Bartolomeo Bellano s earliest documented works are four terracotta relief sculptures of boys, which were commissioned about 1460. One of which is held by the Mus e des Beaux Arts in Lyon. Bartolomeo Facio c. 1400 &ndash 1457 was an Italian historian, writer and Renaissance Humanism humanist . Facio was born into a wealthy family of La Spezia , Liguria . He studied in Verona , Florence and Genoa and was a notary in Lucca and Genoa. In 1445 he moved to Naples at the service of King Alfonso V of Aragon as secretary and official historian. His works include De viris illustribus 1456 , De rebus gestis ab Alphonso I Neapolitanorum rege libri X 1448 1445 , De bello veneto clodiano published in 1568 and the moral treatises De humanae vitae felicitate and De excellentia ac praestantia hominis . He traveled to Rome in the mid 16th century, where he worked under Girolamo Vignola and Taddeo Zuccari . Upon returning to Bologna, he accumulated a large studio, and influenced many Bolognese who would later play a role in the rise of the Baroque. Annibale Carracci whose brother Agostino Carracci Agostino studied with Passarotti was influenced by Passarotti s genre painting genre scenes in a select set of paintings such as The Beaneater and The Butcher s Shop , the latter being originally attributed to Passarotti . His works include the building which is now the centerpiece of the University of Genoa , the Palazzo Balbi Campomorone Palazzo Balbi at Campomorone and the Palazzo Rocca at Chiavari .
