Prior to the 2006 season, this was the highest level competition in South Australia. The reigning champions are Adelaide Cobras who now play in the South Australian Super League . Promotion and Relegation Each season, the champion is promoted to the Super League, while the bottom Super League club is relegated to the Premier League.
