Peter Boal is artistic director of Pacific Northwest Ballet and director of Pacific Northwest Ballet School its affiliated school in Seattle , Washington. He was born in Bedford town , New York Bedford, New York , in 1965 and began studies at the School of American Ballet SAB at age nine. Mr. Boal assumed the directorship of Pacific Northwest Ballet in 2005 from Kent Stowell and Francia Russell following a successful career with the New York City Ballet NYCB which he joined in 1983 and where he was promoted to soloist ballet soloist in 1987, principal dancer in 1989, and from which he retired in 2005. He received his dance training from SAB under the directorship of George Balanchine . In 2002, he founded Peter Boal and Company, a critically acclaimed chamber ensemble. Boal joined the faculty of SAB in 1997, teaching technique, variations, men s and women s classes, and partnering. He was a guest teacher at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the Royal Danish Ballet s school. Peter Boal gave his final performance at City Ballet on Sunday, June 5, 2005. Image Augusto Righi.jpg thumb right Augusto Righi Augusto Righi 27 August 1850 8 June 1920 was an Italy Italian physicist and a pioneer in the study of electromagnetism . He was born and died in Bologna . His early research, conducted in Bologna between 1872 and 1880, was primarily in electrostatics. In 1880 he became ordinary professor in physics at the University of Palermo, where he studied the conduction of heat and electricity in bismuth. From 1885 to 1889 he was a professor at the University of Padua Padova , studying the photoelectric effect. Towards the end of 1889 he was called to the University of Bologna, his home city, where he worked for the rest of his life on subjects such as the Zeeman Effect, Roentgen rays , magnetism and the results of Michelson s experiments. One of Righi s famous pupils was Guglielmo Marconi . Marconi studied under Righi at his lab in Bologna. Augusto Daolio February 18, 1947 October 7, 1992 was an Italian singer, poet and painter, founding member and frontman of I Nomadi band. Biography Daolio was born in Novellara , Emilia Romagna . He founded Nomadi in 1963, together with Beppe Carletti , Franco Midili, Leonardo Manfredini, Gualtiero Gelmini and Antonio Campari, remaining the historical co leader of the band together with Carletti. He died on October 7, 1992, aged 45, from an aggressive form of lung cancer.
