Sarus is an artificiallanguage created by animator Adam Phillips animator Adam Phillips . Construction Sarus consists of syllables which, when communicated, consist of symbols, tones, numbers, colors, gestures, or portions of a glyph . Its concept is based heavily on Solresol , an artificiallanguage developed in France early in the 19th Century. Sarus primarily uses the phonetic or abbreviated representation of the tonal syllables. The tones exist as the solfege set of Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, and Ti equivalent to musical notes C D E F G A B . In Sarus, these are abbreviated to d, r, m, f, s, l, t. Words in Sarus consist of a series of uninterrupted syllables, for example mls music , sds number mfsl hills and so forth. A word may also be expressed as a whole heptagon al glyph. The language currently as of 2006 consists of around 1300 words, corresponding to those most used in English language English . Its earliest version was called B525. In the language itself, the numbers 525 represent the syllables So Re So, written srs language . This is from where the name Sarus is derived. Origin Sarus was created as a language for the fictional race called the YuYu, a mysterious group of interdimensional travellers in the Brackenwood Universe. Yuyus can speak Sarus or communicate by flashing their eyes in different colors, as they also are a form of Sarus, representing letters. Application Phillips has stated he will use Sarus to insert hidden messages into his animations. In his animation Little Foot , Phillips integrated 20 hidden messages and secrets, many of them involving Sarus, and challenged viewers to find them. Edward Powell Foster beginning in 1904. In Ro, words are constructed using a A priori languages category system . For example, all words starting with bofo signify colors the word for red is bofoc , and yellow is bofof . Foster did not simply try to design a better language in general, but to optimize his language for one design criterion recognizability of unknown words. Foster wrote about Ro Ro did not begin with attempting to rival or supplant any other language whatever, either natural or artificial, nor was it suggested by any of them. Unexpectedly came the thought How strange it is that there is nothing in the appearance of a written or printed word that gives the slightest hint of its meaning. Why should a word not be a picture? A new word, never seen before would then, like a painting seen for the first time, convey at least some of the meaning to the eye. ref name Dict Dictionary of Ro The World Language , page 3, Rev. Lincos an abbreviation of the Latin phrase lingua cosmica is an artificiallanguage first described in 1960 by Dr. Hans Freudenthal in his book Lincos Design of a Language for Cosmic Intercourse, Part 1 . It is a language designed to be understandable by any possible intelligent extraterrestrial life form, for use in interstellar radio transmissions. Freudenthal considered that such a language should be easily understood by beings not acquainted with any Earthling syntax or language. Lincos was designed to be capable of encapsulating the whole bulk of our knowledge. Concepts and range The Lincos dictionary , intended to be transmitted first before any additional messages, begins with a simple pattern of pulses intended to establish the terminology for natural number s and basic arithmetic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in binary numeral system base two . The concepts of equality, comparison, variables and constants are also illustrated by a series of examples, and then finally propositional logic , set theory and first order logic . The next section of the Lincos dictionary establishes vocabulary for describing time , introducing means for measuring durations, referring to moments in time, and talking about past and future events. The third section is perhaps the most complex, and attempts to convey the concepts and language necessary to describe behavior and conversation between individuals. It uses examples to introduce actors speaking to each other, asking .... Orphan date February 2009 UNI was a constructed language designed by Elisabeth Wainscott in 1973 as an international auxiliary language . The language seems to have never gained any sizable following and is almost entirely forgotten as of 2007. Linguistic properties The A, B, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T, U, V, and Z and are always written in all upper case letters. Every noun in UNI is three characters long and made plural by appending the noun with I . More descriptive words are made by compounding words together with a hyphen separating them. Verbs are made by prefixing a noun with A there are many exceptions to this rule, however . The future tense is denoted by suffixing a M after the A and the past tense by a T after the A . The prefix BA when applied to a noun represent a larger version of it and BE represents a smaller version. The prefix O creates a word meaning the opposite of its root. The numbers are ZE, UN, TO, TI, KA, SI, SA, ET, PO, NI. Higher numbers are made by writing out each individual place of the number so, ten would be UNZE and a hundred would be UNZEZE. The names of the months are the number prepended with the letter I January IUN, February ITO, etc. . Artificial reality was the term Myron W. Krueger used to describe his interactive immersive environments, based on video recognition techniques, that put a user in full, unencumbered contact with the digital world. He started this work in the late 1960s and is considered to be a key figure in the early innovation of virtual reality . His first book Artificial Reality was published in 1983 and updated in Artificial Reality II in 1991 both published by Addison Wesley . In modern languageArtificial Reality is often used to describe a virtual reality that is indistinguishable from reality.
