    Amadeo s theatre was founded in Zagreb , Croatia in 1797 and lasted until 1834 . Amadeo s theatre was named after its founder Anton Amade de Varkony , Hungary Hungarian count and notable county prefect of Zagreb. Amadeo s theatre was situated in the former Blatna Mud and Kazalisna Theatre Street, which afterwards got the name Demetrova. The building in which it was situated is now the Croatian Natural History Museum and, from 2000, the home of the Amadeo Theatre and Music Company . Amadeo s theatre was a public theatre which was rented by its owner to a contractor the principal of the theatrical group with the highest offer. Posters, tickets, announcements and advertisements were printed for plays and other events. Based on these grounds, Amadeo s theatre was pronounced the first public theatre in Zagreb. Language of performances The plays in Amadeo s theatre were performed mainly in German language , with a smaller number of pieces in Latin language . In 1832 and 1833 German players in Amadeo s theatre performed the first public and professional plays in the Croatian Kajkavian dialect. Rold n was born in Paris to a Cuban mulatta and a Spanish father. It was his mother, the pianist Albertina Gardes, who initiated her children to music his sister Mar a Teresa was a mezzo soprano and his brother Alberto a cellist . Rold n came to Cuba in 1919 after studying music theory and violin at the Madrid Conservatory , graduating in 1916. He became the concert master first chair violin of the new Orquesta Sinfonica de La Habana in 1922. In the mid 1920s he was appointed concert master of the Orquesta Filarmonica of Havana he would assume the position of conductor in 1932 and founded the Havana String Quartet .     Gaetano Amadeo was born 1824 at Porto Maurizio, a small town in Ligurian Riviera , Italy . He died in Nice , France Avril, 8th 1893. His reputation resulted into an entry in biographic dictionnaries, such as Schmidl s and Treccani s in Italy and eulogistic obituaries in some French, Italian and German journals. But he became forgotten. Most of his career took place in Marseille , where he lived for 27 years and founded a school of plain song, an exceptional undertaking in this time. He first learns in Lucca with Giovanni Pacini . After 1841 he studies in Bologna with Rossini , who esteems him highly. He is becomes voted into the famous Philharmonic Academy of Bologna in Bologna in 1843. Holding Rossini s written recommendation, he settles in Marseille where he becomes organist of the St. Joseph church on June, 1st 1848, right after the inauguration of Joseph Callinet s organ. He keeps this duty until July 1861. Accordingly he will not be acquainted with Aristide Cavaill Coll s organ 1868 . He becomes choir master in the cathedral in 1852. He makes the Pavian organ builder L. Lingiardi acquainted with French organ building. Around 1875 he leaves Marseille for an unknown reason perhaps sentimental and settles in Cannes . He moves back to Genoa and Porto Maurizio in 1883 and 1884, from where he writes to P.C. Remondini, famous sacred music reformist whose ideas he shared. At an unknown date he moves back to France. He is found in Cannes in 1887 at the organ of a suburban church. He spends his last years in Nice. He had no close relatives. He bequeathes his library and score collection to an unknown person, who writes a catalog and tries to sell them. Most documents where donated to the Conservatoire of Nice.
